Twice in the past month, we’ve been called on to assist cats who have been shot. The cruelty of some people is unbelievable.
Chester is a big, sweet orange tabby who was living his best tomcat life when someoneheartlessly shot him, shattering his leg bones. When we found him, we could see that the leg had healed in a straight position, leading Chester to drag the leg. For certain, he’s been in pain for a long time. Chester has had his leg amputated, and is being cared for by a medical foster during recovery. The surgery cost in the ballpark of $850.
Scarlett, a sleek tuxedo cat, is, thankfully, doing well after her gunshot wounds and subsequent care. She will next be spayed and then will be available for adoption.
Thankfully, with the help of your generous donations and the committed foster network, we have been able to give Chester and Scarlett the medical attention they’ve needed. If you’d like to give to ensure future cats who have need of medical attention receive that care, you may donate online at our website.
