Contrary to the rumors flying around Bastrop, there will be NO real cats AT Kitty Bingo 2022 on Saturday, November 19th, 2022!
If you are looking to adopt a new feline friend, please go to Bastrop County Shelter, where you will find lots of adorable, already spayed/neutered and vaccinated kitties looking for their new homes.
So of course, you might be wondering, just what is Kitty Bingo??

Kitty Bingo 2022 is a FUNdraising event for community and feral cats, you know, the cats kind-hearted people love to feed. Some are wild and feral, some might be more social. Letting them breed several times a year results in hundreds of homeless kittens/cats who soon become prey for wildlife or killed in other ways. It’s often a tragically short life for so many kittens born outdoors.
Bastrop C.A.T.S. assists people in our community with spaying, neutering, and vaccinating these unowned cats. We loan out traps, schedule appointments, and give lots of excellent trapping advice. Occasionally, a cat we help turns out to be microchipped, and we have had some “happy reunion with frantic owner” stories.
Kitty Bingo is raising funds to continue our community work of helping people and cats through our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.
For example, in 2022 so far, Bastrop C.A.T.S. has “spaneutered” (spayed or neutered) over 900 community and feral cats through our TNR efforts, and helped quite a few injured, sick, and/or lost kitties found along the way.
Bastrop C.A.T.S. is a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit organization. We can only do this vital community service when we have community support and donations. (Our cost to spay/neuter and rabies-vaccinate one cat is $45-90, depending on the clinic we schedule.)
