When cats are being fed and cared for (or not) on private land we ask the clients to set the traps and actively manage the process. Sometimes the client is unable to do this (health reasons, work schedule etc) and may need a Bastrop Cats volunteer to set and collect the traps. This may require staying onsite to actively trap (such as with a drop trap) or to just set the traps and come back later to check the traps and stow the cats. The volunteer would stay in contact with the resident until the cats are trapped for their surgery day.
